He had opportunities to learn new skills which led him to creating work for clients such as ESPN, National Geographic, American Express, and SeatGeek.
Ben joined Focus Lab in early 2019, bringing 12 years of design/illustration experience with him.
After 6 years as an art director at an agency, Ben joined forces with his wife, Beth, and worked side-by-side with her in their design studio for 5 years. He had opportunities to grow and learn new skills which led him to creating work for clients such as ESPN, National Geographic, American Express, and SeatGeek.
When Ben isn’t working, he’s soaking up a good story, whether it’s a book, graphic novel, movie, or tv show. Ben believes in the power of the J.J. Abrams concept, "The Mystery Box" — sometimes not knowing the mystery enhances the thing that is held mysterious.
Ben was born and raised in the heart of the Midwest: Columbus, Ohio. He has been married to Beth since 2009 and a dad to his spunky daughter, Roo, since 2013. His family currently lives in the small town of Shelby, Ohio, where they host “Free Doughnut Fridays” in their driveway during the month of July. The invitation is open!
