Wireframing creates visual representations of information in the context of an interface, resulting in what is essentially a blueprint. Prototyping, on the other hand, is a more granular exercise where a specific user interaction is created in order to test its effectiveness.

User interface kits are a simple way of aggregating all base level interface elements into a single document or web page. Pattern libraries, on the other hand, are a more robust outline of all levels or interface elements as well as documentation on usage. We produce static mockups of UI kits as a starting point for the development of base styles. Pattern libraries are usually generated during the development phase as a form of visual documentation.
