The Challenge
Upon establishing her first legal practice, Laura Hastay approached Focus Lab to create a mark appropriate for a lawyer, but one that also creatively distinguished her practice from the conventional legal aesthetic. Based on this instruction, we needed to create a brand that captured Laura’s unique personality, while still capturing the traditional and professional look expected from lawyers.
Our Solution
To infuse Laura’s personality in this design, we started with a foundation of easily identifiable colors and a strong, progressive sans serif font. In order to capture the legal nature of the brand, we created a traditional crest using iconic elements including a dove, an olive branch and an arrow. Ultimately, the interplay between the colors and the crest achieved what we set out to accomplish with visuals that allow for a wide variety of layouts and endless potential uses on branding collateral.
