Dan Decker attended The University of Central Arkansas where he studied theatre and mass communication. After seven years of intense study, Dan realized that, perhaps, this college thing wasn’t working out. After roaming the Earth aimlessly looking for his true calling (working in several movie theatres and getting spoiled on free movies and popcorn), he met his soul mate, Tricia. Tricia gave Dan direction, love, a home and three rowdy boys (The Triple Deckers) that he cherishes with all his heart.
Dan has been a student HTML since 1996. He was there as HTML grew, matured and became a super-hero. He vividly remembers swearing to "never learn CSS" because it was "new-fangled."
After seeing the light, Dan learned to embrace CSS along with HTML. In 2003, spurred by the prospect of making "fat stacks," he found PHP and MySQL and started building web apps for fun and profit. 2004 brought Dan his first taste of ExpressionEngine, which caused him to give up trying to write his own CMS.
Dan is living the dream in Conway, Arkansas where he gets to work from home and use ExpressionEngine everyday.
It looks like I haven't written anything on the blog yet. That's boring.
