What would you say if I told you I knew of a one-stop resource that could help you grow yourself, grow your team, and grow your profits? What if I told you that resource was free?
Yeah, I’d jump on that too. But first, a brief back story…
In the fall of 2009, Bill and I attended a single-day event that covered a variety of business topics: things like contracts, sales, marketing, hiring, growth management, etc. It was solid information but we didn’t really have an immediate need or applicability for most of what we heard. At the time, we hadn’t yet launched the Focus Lab that is today. But we recognized the information for what it was and I kept it in my back pocket for a few years.
Fast forward to the fall of last year and I’m attending a weeklong version of the same event. This time, I’ve removed myself from Focus Lab for the week so I can work on my business rather than in my business.1
The event content stems from a book written by Dave Ramsey — called EntreLeadership — and is presented in multiple forms. I’ve experienced the whole gamut, from the free content online to the weeklong event (held twice each year). The value of the event I went to last year, called EntreLeadership Master Series, far outweighs the relatively high cost. (Much more expensive than any conference I’ve attended in the tech world.) In fact, I’ll likely return in the future. It’s quite an impressive and impactful event.
That’s not what this post is about, though.
This week, the fine team at EntreLeadership launched a new website that contains loads of great content for free. The site contains great articles, videos, book reviews, and more. The content is rich but easily digested, so yours is a low investment for high return. With the recent launch, they’re still working out some kinks but the caliber of material is already impressive.
These are savvy business people we’re talking about so naturally they offer paid memberships that unlock even more great content. If that fits with your budget, and you know you’ll make time to regularly visit and learn from the site, it will be well worth the cost to you. To reiterate, the cost is only worth it if you dedicate time to work on your business and not just in it.
(As an aside: It’s worth adding that this is a completely unsolicited blog post. I’m simply a huge fan of what these guys are doing. As one of their tribe, I want to share these resources with my fellow business owners in our little part of the world.)
The EntreLeadership team is a fantastic example because they truly do believe in helping their customers grow, grow their teams, and grow their profits. Take a look at the new site and go learn something!
