Anniversary Giveathon
This past May 1st marked [what we consider] our full year all up in this business thang. We like to celebrate things here at Focus Lab, LLC. If you've ever celebrated anything yourself, you know it's always more fun when other people are involved. That's where you come in. We want to give away some free stuff. And we want to give it to you!
“Over $1,000 worth of prizes!”
Fellow Creatives
We, along with some friends, have comprised some goodies to give away to our creative services community. This will be conducted in the form of a drawing with multiple winners. Rather than create certain "levels" of prizes we'll be giving each winner 1 thing. That means more people win! Keep reading for the details.
What's up for Grabs?
We're glad you asked! Here's what we have so far:
- 1 physical copy of Thinking with Type
- 1 physical copy of Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities
- One set of Day Ruining Invoices (a la Clients from Hell)
- Two Freelancer ExpressionEngine licenses
- One MojoMotor license
- Two Git Tower licenses (1 per person, 2 winners)
- One 1-year Evergreen plan to FreshBooks (our online invoicing app of choice)
- $50 worth of email credits for Campaign Monitor
- $50 worth of Beanstalk credit
- 5,000 Postmark credits
- Three licenses for Kaleidoscope (1 per person, 3 winners)
That's over $1,000 worth of prizes!
How to enter
Entering is simple. Just comment below and your name is officially in the hat. We will assume you'll take any of the prizes unless you specify within your comment that you're only interested in certain prizes. You can follow us on twitter for potential new prizes and announced winners. Here are the details:
- You can only enter once
- Each winner will receive 1 prize
- The deadline to enter is 9 p.m. EST on May 24th, 2011
- Winners will be selected at random on May 25th, 2011
- We will notify you via the email address you use in our comment form below
- You must respond to us with 48 hours to claim your prize
- All winners will need to give us their mailing address of choice
The deadline for entry has finally passed. Thank you to everyone who entered. We will be selecting and contacting the winners tomorrow!

I would take anything for free, but if I had a choice, I wouldn’t mind getting either the copy of “Thinking with Type” or “Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities”, one of the Freelancer ExpressionEngine licenses, or the 1-year Evergreen plan to FreshBooks (I’m already using Freshbooks free plan!).
Also, whatever “...maybe more!!*” is! That sounds like it could be pretty amazing! :P
Žan Moškotevc on May 18th, 2011 6:04 pm

With this said, I would love it if you guys gave me a freelancer license of Expression Engine because it would take me one step closer to completing my dream of running a successful internet business. But anything else will do!
Joss Crowcroft on May 22nd, 2011 9:42 pm

Wow, what a wonderful and exciting contest. I think all the prizes are top notch and all the sponsors are really considerate to be so generous and kind. I will have to look further into the prizes and check out the sponsors I don’t know much about. I am sure they offer some brilliant resources. Thanks for helping enrich our minds and potentially enrich our arsenal! Thanks again!
